Guest guest
I would love to get your lesson plans for this and maybe do it next week with my students. Since it is the end of the year, I am looking for more " out of the box " plans to keep them engaged. Thanks for the head's up on the week. It just so happens I'm working on something along that theme. I am working on something for gifted children on the 26th. It is called enrichment day. I'm calling it green day. I have a local organic farmer coming to help the kids plant things as well as stress the importance of organic. Another woman is using recycled materials with the children using the same theme with seed packets and making scrapbooks. We live in a very small town. I contacted Whole Foods 1 1/2 hours away. They are being super cooperative and giving the children organic salsa planting kits, reusable luncheon bags and organic themed calendars. And we have handouts on the same theme. We will end with a movie going along with the theme. Our organization doesn't have a kitchen yet, but we're working on that. Perhaps next year we can cook something as well. The lady doing the scrapbook had wanted to make bread. Jerri http://justjera. wordpress. com/
