Guest guest
Hello Everyone, My name is Nima. I am a SAHM of 5 ages 20,19, 9, 7, and 5. We currently reside in Belgium and are preparing to relocate to Oklahoma in October. We have been eating a vegetable based diet for 2 years and it seems that things get easier everyday. I think that if I can eat this way in a country that is definately m**t and potatos oriented then going back to the states should make things a breeze. We make our own bread, soy milk, and tofu. At first it was difficult, but the more we do these things the easier it gets. If anyone had asked me last year about making bread 2 or 3 times a week I would have laughed and said that is why there is a grocery store. The cost of tofu here is almost $4 per package so the decision to make my own really wasn't a decision at all. As to the bread there was none available without milk, eggs, or natural flavors so if I wanted bread it was either make my own or suffer. On the subject of milk a half gallon is almost $6. As you can tell I don't like to spend a lot of money if I don't have to. We are also homeschoolers. This is something we have been doing for about 8 years. This is also a decision that was taken out of our hands by a poor pubic school in our area and an inability to afford the cost of private school. It has been an adventure and quite a learning curve for me. Thank you for the invitation. I look forward to participating in the group.
