Guest guest
I have had fibromyalgia for about 10+ years. I have discovered that it can have many causes. After, I developed lyme disease [December 2007] with two coinfections, bartonella [cat scratch disease] and babesia, realized that the bartonella that I had for 14 years was probably the underlying cause of bartonella. Both bartonella and lyme can cause fibro. It is possible that they do not have either bartonella or lyme in Japan, but I doubt that it is just caused by diet. I am sure bad diet could be a contributing factor. I have been a vegetarian for 30+ years and that did not immunize me from fibro, lyme, or bartonella. Another known fibro research result is that over 90% of people with fibro have been abused as children or adults. It tends to develop after people have some kind of trauma--like a car accident. For me, it developed after I did some weight lifting. Fibromyalgia is a can of worms because it is often diagnosed when the physician does not know what is wrong with the person. Many, many, many people with lyme disease were incorrectly diagnosed with fibro when their symptoms were caused by undiagnosed and untreated lyme disease. Kathleen Fibromyalgia is tough but I was told they do not have this in Japan. It is assumed, I was told by a military wife in Okinawa, that the Japanese diet is why. Fuzzbudget, could it be true? If anyone has some knowledge of this please let me know.
