Guest guest Posted July 12, 2009 Report Share Posted July 12, 2009 Cornmeal Dumplings 1 egg 1/2 cup milk 3/4 cup cornmeal 1/2 cup flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder Beat egg with milk. Add 2 tablespoons melted shortening or margarine. Add remaining ingredients and blend well. Drop by tablespoons into soup pot, cover pan tightly and simmer for 15 minutes.
