Please pick one day this week and phone and email them tosay:"Please stop selling foie gras. Foie gras is produced by force feedingducks or geese large amounts of food so that their livers swell to up to 10times the normal size and become diseased and fatty. Often their organsrupture or the tube goes through their neck and the birds die an agonisingdeath. Over 90 per cent of the 30 million birds used in foie grasproduction each year in France are male ducks. The same number of femaleducklings - which are not used in foie-gras production - are either gassedor thrown into electric mincers at a few days old.
