Guest guest
There's been a big ol forest fire down in the Santa Cruz Mtns south of here. It started yesterday early in the morning, and yesterday the winds were blowing from the north. This morn, the winds have switched around. good news for the fire fighters, as it helps them a lot but, bad for us up here. visibility is shot. everything is grey, brown and hazy. heavy odor of smoke in the air. the fire is at least 80 miles away, and i can't see landmarks a mile away due to the smoke. hope folks got all their companion animals out.... bad news if its only may and we are getting fires already..and in the santa cruz mtns no less. the have redwoods up there. generally a pretty wet area (at least for us here) fraggle What gets us into trouble is not what we don't know, it's what we know for sure that just ain't so. - Mark Twain
