I'm a year into vet school, which is a miserable place for a vegan to be. The industry is a sad place for animal lovers, counterintuitive, yes. I've been stuck on Grand Cayman for the past year for school, but I just received a transfer offer to Illinois. Hi Faith, I can relate! I went to vet tech school and that was plenty for me to see that I never wanted to become a vet (people have asked me all my life, " why don't you become a vet? " ) I did go to work for a vet afterwards. Just like the vets I interned with, he was a cruel spirit at heart and really had only $$ at interest. If his clients only knew how he & the teenaged guy who was his kennel worker really treated their pets........ a year after I quit, he sold the practice to go into the cattle biz. That's NOT to say there aren't plenty of great vets out there. But the biz just isn't what folks think it is. As for GC, i remember Stingray city being a little cheesy but still fun. I grabbed onto a giant fin to try to swim along, but the ray knocked me off with a grand, slow-mo, but extremely powerful whip of his/her fin. They're beautiful. all the best to you in your vet journey!
