I saw an article on the internet news about ducks in the Worthing area

in particular. Apparently the postmen are dropping their red elastic

bands all over the place, and they are washing down (when it rains)

into the ponds etc. The ducks think they are worms and try to eat

them. The elastic bands get stuck around their beaks and necks!

I do know that the postmen everywhere just throw their elastic bands on

the ground - often in my front garden.

I tried to find an address/contact for the Worthing Royal Mail, but

didn't come up with anything. If there is anyone in that area maybe

they could let me know a contact, and I will start a complaining

campaign.

Hi Jo

You could report it to the police. Littering is a criminal offence - in

Bristol, we have loads of adverts highlighting the fact that if you are

caught littering you will be fined... perhaps a couple of postmen getting

fined for littering would put a stop to it.
