Guest guest
Cotswolds Beavers have been born in Britain for the first time in four centuries. The 12 kits were born at the 550-acre Lower Mill Estate at Cotswold Water Park, near Cirencester, Wiltshire, a sustainable luxury home complex. It was thought that six beavers had bred in January but none had been seen until now. Jeremy Paxton, the estate’s owner, introduced three pairs, named Tony and Cherie, Gordon and Sarah, and John and Pauline, into the country in 2005. Beavers died out in Britain in the 16th century when they were hunted because their throat glands were thought to be medicinal. Peter vv Not happy with your email address?
