Dear Fraggle,

The Bush administration is planning to spread poison across several parts of America's grasslands, in an effort to kill tens of thousands of prairie dogs. Take action against this terrible plan »

This plan is coming on the heels of three straight years of massive poisoning of prairie dog colonies in and around the private properties in the Buffalo Gap, Fort Pierre and Oglala National Grasslands. The three years of poisoning has destroyed thousands of acres of prairie dog colonies and prime wildlife habitat.

Three years of poisoning and disease has reduced the prairie dog population in these areas to about one percent. But prairie dogs are key to these grasslands' ecosystem - so eradicating them has a toll on the other species that depend on them for food, burrows and additional benefits. Rare species such as the swift fox, burrowing owl and ferruginous hawk will not be able to sustain healthy populations if this terrible plan goes forward.

This plan is a bad idea on so many levels. But we only have a few weeks to speak out. Please take a moment today, and tell the Forest Service to not spread poison across our grasslands »

Don't Let the Bush Administration Poison the Prairie Dog's Little Home on the Range

This poisoning plan not only threatens a diminished prairie dog population in these grasslands; it threatens other species that live on the prairie.

With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably.

you're bored in retirement cuz your energies drained away, your money had no answer, you just still want more! your life was never different then the guy next door!

all your neighbors are competitors, where'd you all go wrong? there never was a mountain to climb. potential friends are now your enemies, where'd you all go wrong? there never was a mountain to climb.
