Hi, Shelley-

Thanks to all who advised me before

surgery. Helped a lot. Home now, working it out.

The URL you gave me below is down for some

reason, error message says it is “having problems.” Maybe you have

some ideas?

Thanks

Cyn

Cyn,

I will be thinking of you this Friday as you have

your surgery. I have just finished most of my treatment for

breast cancer, 4 surgeries, chemo, radiation, and am now on hormone

therapy. My hair has grown back to about 4-5 inches long and I

have chemo curls. When I read about someone with breast cancer my

entire soul feels for them, and for you.

Are you a member of breastcancer2

? If so, we may have talked. If not, it is the most

emotionally supportive group of people I have ever known, and you might like

to check it out. I went vegan cold turkey on March 19 and have

lost 46 pounds. The intent was/is to get healthy and keep the cancer

from returning. So far, so good! I went strict vegan and

focusing on raw foods as much as possible. No sugar, limit of

oils, no processed food, no empty calories at all, nutrient dense raw

foods. I am having a blast and the pounds keep coming off.

I can't imagine ever eating a western diet again

when my food is so much better!

Good luck Friday. Most of the ladies on

my breast cancer web site find the masectomy is not nearly as painful as they

expected. Take good care of yourself.

Hi Cyn

I hope you are feeling as well as possible, although I'm sure it will take a while to feel fully fit again. Let us know how you are going along, when you feel up to it.

Cyn,

Go to first. Then key breastcancer2. I wouldn't have made it through cancer treatment without this group. It is the most profound experience of my life. They have every answer I needed, mastectomy in it's tiniest details/questions/feelings, etc.

If you don't know what is go to and track it down. Or email me again and I will give more information.

  • 2 weeks later...

It's very quiet on here today - and not even the weekend yet!

The weather is lovely, and supposed to be good for the weekend. I might just get a little gardening done. I must plan the weekend meals. Does anyone know what they are going to eat?
