So what IS the best way to get B12? I have hormone positive breast

cancer so because of all the controversy I limit tofu. I do drink

soy milk but in limited quantities. So I take a B12 supplement

daily. I had blood tests and was severely low in vitamin D3 so my

doc gave me a prescription for it also. My soy milk is organic with

added B12.

What does everyone else do? You can't LIVE on tofu, can you? I am

afraid I don't have that option.

Tofu doesn't have any B12 in it, and I've never seen any tofu that

had had any B12 added to it.

Usually, I get B12 by eating foods that have had B12 added to them,

such as a cup of enriched soymilk or soy yogurt. The rule of thumb is

to eat enriched foods every 12 hours (anything where the label says

" 20 percent of daily value " per serving), OR take a 1o-100 mcg

supplement each day, OR take a 2000 mcg supplement once a week. When

I realize I haven't been eating my usual B12 sources for a few days,

I have a liquid B12 supplement (sold in a tincture bottle) that I

take -- a lot more palatable for me than having to swallow some

pills, which I've bought in the past and never could get myself to

take. Sometimes I use a fizzy vitamin C supplement (the packet is

added to water) that includes B12.

Red Star nutritional yeast has b12 added specifically for vegans. Eat in the Raw uses Red Star to make their awesome fake grated parmesan cheese analogue:http://www.eatintheraw.com/
