I was browsing on the web and came across this... http://www.worldvegetarianday.org/contest/ We want to make World Vegetarian Day even more fun. NAVS is sponsoring a special World Vegetarian Day / Vegetarian Awareness Month Contest. Its easy to enter - just write and tell us about your activities. Entries will be judged on originality, creativity and effectiveness. ONE PRIZE EACH WILL BE AWARDED TO: 1. An individual for the most outstanding activity & 2. A representative of a group, store or institution for implementing the cleverest outreach. And what prizes!! Free registration, accommodation and meals for Vegetarian Summerfest conference (travel not included). Vegetarian Summerfest is NAVS' annual educational conference, a fun-filled event, in a vacation-like setting. It will feature dozens of leading educators; who will give you the latest information on health, nutrition, food preparation, lifestyle issues, exercise, animal rights, earth stewardship and more! You could be among the hundreds enjoying five days of delicious vegan meals and socializing with other like-minded individuals. The winners will also have their activities featured in an article in Vegetarian Voice magazine and on our website. All entries must be received by November 30 to be eligible. Winners will be announced by Janurary 31. No matter how big or small, we want to hear about your activities. All World Vegetarian Day/Vegetarian Awareness Month participants we hear from will be listed in Vegetarian Voice magazine and on our website. Even if you just have a friend over for a vegetarian dinner or wear a vegetarian T-shirt to work as your way of celebrating - we want to hear from you. All efforts no matter how seemingly small, plant seeds in people's minds. Make a difference in the world this October! You'll be helping people, animals and the Earth.
