The Uncheese Cookbook by Joanne Stepaniak

My wife and I are slightly over one year old Vegetarians. Cheese is my

wife's big problem and that makes it mine too. I recently did an

interlibrary loan on this book The Uncheese Cookbook by Joanne

Stepaniak

 

I'm wondering if anyone has tried some of the uncheese recipes in this

book and which turned out best? Seems that the Agar Agar is pretty

expensive at about $6 US per ounce. Does anyone know of other places on

the net where we can find Cheese substitute recipes. Slowly we are

working toward Veganism but the transition from total meat eaters to no

flesh eaters was a lot easier than from Vegetarian to Vegan.

 

Also Vegan Pizza's I'm wondering about what is used on these without

cheese?

When I go out, I order veggie pizzas with no cheese. Tastes just great, actually!

 

Usually I don't make my own cheese, however. If I make anything at home I use either the vegan rice cheeses or Follow Your Heart's Vegan Gourmet.
