Guest guest
Hi Fraggle Good idea. I'm not much at storytelling, we have one local tale that I will try to post in the next couple of days (unless Peter can write it sooner - Silent pool). I know you have posted good ones before, do you have any now? Guest guest
good story blake! when I was a kid, I had a strange ability to see dead people in my dreams. It was very scary and many times I was scared to go to sleep. They were very clear and most always they where trying to tell me something. This was unpredictable and I couldn't control it. Some of my aunts started to make a big deal out of it. When I became " aware " of this and upon their request try to " make it " happen, it wouldn't. This finally stopped when I was about 14 or so. To this day, I'm not sure if they were coincidences or what. One example was when I told my moms'friend; " last night a teenage girl with blond curls dressed in a white gown, told me that she was lost and that she was looking for you " In my dream I was walking down a road and she stopped me. My mom's friend said " oh my god! that's my sister..that's what she was wearing.. she died in 1964! coincidence? I'm not sure. , " Blake Wilson " <mbw wrote: > > We recently moved to a very small community in the rocky mountains.....just > over 250 people. It's a former mining town. Guest guest
wow jo and peter, those are really weird and spooky! when I was a kid, my birthday was never celebrated because I was born on the day of the dead. (nov 2nd) I was growing up in my mom's country that is a holiday in which you wear black and mourn the dead. so on my birthday we couldn't even play the radio, instead the whole town goes to the cemetary and put flowers on the graves of their relatives to remember and respect. My aunt would tell me " act sad, not happy " , " jo.heartwork " <jo.heartwork wrote:
Guest guest
Strangely enough on last Saturday, Colin said 'Can you smell your dad's tobacco?' and I could. It was very strong. On Samhain (Halloween) night the same year, there was a whiff of his tobacco in the air, and as we went to bed at midnight, one of our battery clocks alarms started ringing, and would not stop. The stop button just would not work. This clock had not worked for a few years, but one of our children had given it to us when they were young, and we didn't want to throw it away. Had we accidentally pushed the alarm button to set the alarm? No - the alarm was not set. We thought it would be best to take the old batteries out to stop it - but - there were no batteries in there! It rang for several minutes and then stopped. > > My dad's birthday was 1st November, and the alarm rang at midnight of Samhain, just as his birthday started. What with that and the tobacco, I am sure he was saying 'hello'. > > I know that is not a scary story, but I don't think I have had any scary ghost happenings. > > BB > Jo >
