Guest guest
Anyone new to Veganism, and are worried about vitamins and minerals, should look in the on line shop at the Vegan Society Web site, I am sure you can buy a nutition chart. This will show you where your vitamins and minerals come from, and gives you advice on your daily intake of food. To the person new to a veggie diet, do not worry about your diet, although it is important to learn about your daily intake of vitamins and menerals etc, a Vegan diet is far more healthy than a meat eating diet. I have been a Vegan for 21 years and I am fit (a bit over weight)healthy, and on no medication for anything at 55. Don't let the meat industry brain wash you, or cause you to worry, because you are not eating meat. Good look.
Guest guest
Although the average vegan diet is healthier than a meat eating diet, it is not healthier than a vegetarian diet - but it should be. The reason vegetarians live longer than vegans is because they get more vitamin B12 than vegans. If vegans supplement their diet with very adequate B12 they should live longer than vegetarians. ~Diet does need consideration if we wish to prove that a vegan diet can be the healthiest diet and promote long life.
