Guest guest Posted October 29, 2008 Report Share Posted October 29, 2008 hi, vegans i'm new on the list. i've been a vegetarian for a few years. i was living in a Dharma house in which cooking meat was prohibited. after a few months of not eating meat i found that i was unable to digest it-- instant vegetarian. a couple of years ago i went to the local state fair and saw a dairy display, where there are actual cows hooked up to milking machines, getting their teets sucked dry. i think the intention was supposed to be educational, like a promo for the dairy farmers. if you could see how inhumane it all looked, i would say that their plan backfired. it was then that i first thought about becoming vegan. it wasn't until some weeks ago, though, when i was looking at pro-vegan clips on youtube after again considering becoming vegan that it happened. something in my mind changed and i have been vegan since that day. and that is my vegan story. nice to meet you all. if any of you want to share your vegan story i'd love to hear it. sincerely, sama Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
