It's not too late to join the fun, meet new people, get in shape (or get in better shape), and help animals throughout the world. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has formed a team of runners—from first-timers to seasoned marathoners—to participate in the San Francisco Half Marathon & 5K Fun Run on February 1, 2009. We started on November 8th with a professional fitness coach, who is providing us the necessary training and inspiration to help us meet our own personal goals and raise funds for PETA's groundbreaking animal advocacy work. You can team train in person with us in San Francisco every Saturday or train with friends remotely and join us for the actual race in February. The PETA Pack is a big running party, and we want you to be there! You'll get a goodie bag, a T-shirt, great training, and expert advice on raising funds to help animals, and you'll be eligible for these fabulous prizes. In appreciation for the fundraising efforts demonstrated by the athletes participating in the PETA pack, Holiday Systems International will reward the top three fundraisers the following: 1st Place Prize7 nights/8 days vacation at a beautiful resort in Maui, Hawaii — including airfare for two. 2nd Place Prize7 nights/8 days vacation at a beautiful resort in Mexico — does not include airfare. 3rd Place Prize7 nights/8 days vacation at a beautiful resort in Las Vegas — does not include airfare.
