Guest guest
well, have to report that the ravioli didn't quite turn out as planned boiled, they were hideous. so, we baked them instead at the last moment. they came out all crispy, sorta like dumplings. and the white bean and garlic sauce we made for them didn't work for either one. so we whipped up a ginger sauce and that was ok. they must have been a hit, as they all vanished. as did the tamales (we made over 60, and brought home none) we also made a coconut pecan cak, which was so dang dense it must have weighed twenty lbs! and, happy to report, that for once the Vegan table dominated the festivities. there were 30-40 different vegan dishes, maybe 15 vegetarian dishes, and a dozen meat dishes. oh and a dozen " other " dishes which i probably shouldn't spell out in this family friendly venue. but, tons and tons of vegan dishes. couldn't even try them all. i think folks were trying to impress our BOB family from Enlgand, as we had several folks over fom Bath, and two of em are vegan. all in all, a fun nite. cheers fraggle “We now know that a neo-conservative is an arsonist who sets the house on fire and six years later boasts that no one can put it out.†- Bill Moyers
