Temperatures will pick up a bit Thursday, with highs up to 79 degrees, compared with 72 at the warmest locations today. By Friday and Saturday, temperatures will be 10 to 20 degrees above normal, and highs in some spots will hit the mid-80s. That would break records for this time of year. On Sunday, the heat should start to back off, " but only just marginally, " Benjamin said. Normal, mid-November weather won't return until Tuesday. E-mail Henry K. Lee at hlee. For in a Republic, who is “the country Is it the Government which is for the moment in the saddle? Why, the Government is merely a servant—merely a temporary servant; it cannot be its prerogative to determine what is right and what is wrong, and decide who is a patriot and who isn’t. Its function is to obey orders, not originate them. Mark Twain
