We had Girasole Pinot Noir and Chardonnay this holiday:http://www.girasolevineyards.com/girasole/index.jspGood stuff; they should get your money.

From their site:Dan also adheres to Vegan guidelines when making any of the Girasole

Vineyards wines. This means that no animal products, such as

egg-whites, are used in the winemaking process. Special

organically-approved yeasts (which are not grown on any petrochemical

substrate product) are used to promote the fermentation of the grapes

into wine.Vegan wines: In order for a

wine to qualify for vegan status, there can be no use of animal

products in the winemaking process (e.g. egg-whites or edible gelatins)

Both organic and non-organic winemaking practices sometimes employ

"fining" techniques ("Fining" wine refers to the process of purifying

the wine to remove or reduce any unwanted matter from the wines). If

any Girasole wines need to be fined (which not every vintage/varietal

does), we do not use any animal products in the process.Go Girasole (means " sunflower " in Italian).Blake

OK. Sigh. Can someone please give me a vintner who

provides these delicious wines either IN Maryland or delivered to Maryland? I

REALLY want to try the Pircas Negras Malbec, and the Girasole Vineyards wines

too, but these do not deliver and are not sold into Maryland. As much as I’d

love to meet Fraggle FTF, I cannot get away just now. L
