Guest guest
Hi all, I am a vegan, and a third year degree student of Diet & Health at Bath Spa University. I have chosen to study dietary practices for my dissertation, particularly considering the reasons for these choices, perceptions of different diets, and the possibility that our chosen diets may have secondary effects in other areas of our lives. Having practiced a number of diets, I have experienced first-hand differences in the way people have treated me depending on the type of diet I am consuming, yet the academic literature on this topic remains sparse. I would be extremely grateful for your help-if you could spare a few minutes to fill in my questionnaire it would be greatly appreciated. There are only 26 questions, so it won’t take long. Your help would be invaluable, and in return I’ll post my findings up on this forum following the completion of my work. Please copy and paste the following link into your browser to take part in my survey: http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/?p=WEB228TRAVNTYD Thank you for your time. Guest guest
Hi VegDeb Ons fairly important point.... the term " pecto-vegetarian " is a bit wrong. Firstly, etymologically speaking it would mean a vegetarian who consumes lemon juice. I see you're using it as a term for fish eaters... ummm... that would be an oxymoron... people who eat fish can't be vegetarian by definition. The term you want is pescitarian. Guest guest
Hi Peter, Thanks for this. I've had a look at the term pescitarian, and found this is someone who consumes fish and other seafoods. I had never come across this term before, and if I had would have included it in my project. Unfortunately I found out too late so cannot add it in now, but have indeed had some respondents who selected the " Other " dietary option, and wrote they consume only fish and other seafood, but no other animal flesh. I'll be sure to use this term in my write-up. Thanks again for your help, and interest. Sincerely, VegDeb , " Peter " <metalscarab wrote: > > Hi VegDeb > > Ons fairly important point.... the term " pecto-vegetarian " is a bit wrong. > Firstly, etymologically speaking it would mean a vegetarian who consumes > lemon juice.
