Dear Uncaged memberUncaged is constantly fighting against vivisection, but this is a particularly crucial time. We are in the midst of a once-in-a-lifetime battle where the lives of millions of innocent animals are at stake. Those animals need the public to donate to Uncaged so we can fight to save them from a fate worse than death. This battle is over a new law that will govern all animal experiments across Europe. The fate of hundreds of millions of monkeys, pigs, dogs, sheep, cats, rabbits, mice, rats, guinea pigs, ferrets, birds and other animals over the next few decades is hanging in the balance. Animals rely on effective street collections to provide the funding which is essential for our groundbreaking, successful campaigns against animal experiments. They are also great opportunities to raise awareness about animal testing and empower people to get active themselves through cruelty-free living, joining protests and lobbying politicians. They are vital to our campaigns, as public awareness and support - in addition to funding - is essential to tackling vivisection. Conducting a campaign stall, with petitions and leaflets, as well as collection tins on the table, greatly increases the amount of funds you're likely to raise on the day.The following are dates of confirmed street collections. If you can coordinate or participate in any of these, please contact Angela at ang or 0114 2722220. If you want to collect but we don't currently have a collection listed for your area, please contact Angela with a view to organising a collection:Basildon - Sat 11th JulyBedford - Sat 16th MayBideford - Sat 9th May, Fri 19th June, Fri 24th JulyBrighton - Sat 1st AugBurton-u-Trent - Sat 25th AprChester - Sat 5th SeptCheltenham - Fri 25th SeptCoventry - Sat 22nd AugDunfermline - Sat 21st MarDunstable - Sat 2nd MayHemel Hempstead - Sat 15th AugHuddersfield - Sat 1st Aug, Sat 21st NovLeighton Buzzard - Sat 20th JuneLewes - Sat 22nd AugLiverpool - Sat 16th MayLONDON WIDE - Sat 18th JulyMilton Keynes - Sat 1st AugNeath - Sat 11th JulyNewport Pagnell - Sat 21st MarPeterborough - Sat 1st Aug, Sat 3rd OctSolihull - Sat 19th DecSouthend - Sat 5th SeptSt Albans - Sat 21st MarStevenage - Sat 12th SeptSwindon - Sat 16th MayTring - Sat 11th JulyTruro - Sat 8th AugTunbridge Wells - Sat 26th SeptStreet collections (applied for) still to be confirmed:Aylesbury - Sat 17th OctBasildon - Sat 19th DecDundee - Sat 25th July, Sat 10th OctDunfermline - Sat 5th SeptHanley - Sat 11th July, Sat 29th Aug, Sat 3rd OctHitchin - Sat 11th AprilLincoln - Sat 1st AugNewcastle-u-Lyme - Sat 27th JuneNewquay - Sat 11th July, Sat 5th SeptPerth - Sat 6th JuneWoking - Sat 14th NovWe've also got the thirteenth annual Global Boycott Procter & Gamble Day coming up on Saturday 16th May 2009.
