Happy Beltane

Happy Beltane everyone.

 

We had a lovely day - up a local hill to watch the sunrise (beautiful) and to watch the morris dancing and listen to the choir singing May-type songs. Then we went into town and walked along the river and up another hill, and back to town for breakfast. Then we went round the castle grounds which are rich with beautiful flower beds. We went home, watched some telly and had lunch. We went to the local woods and took photos of the bluebells and then on the Winkworth Arboretum, again to see the enormous areas of bluebells, and some azaleas, magnolias etc. We have had plenty of exercise and fresh air - the weather has been lovely - and we feel full of Beltane spirit :-)

 

Did anyone else have the opportunity to do anything exciting today?
