Guest guest
YET MORE PROCTER & GAMBLE CRUELTY EXPOSED!http://www.uncaged.co.uk/pgboycott09.pdfPLEASE JOIN DAY OF ACTION!Can you join the 13th annual Global Boycott Procter & Gamble Day coming up on Saturday 16th May? Getting active on this day is vital if we are to defend countless thousands of animals from P & G's cruel and gratuitous poisoning tests. We've already been told about over a hundred different actions across the world, on every continent, that will reach out to millions of people. But while ever animals suffer at the cold, ruthless hands of P & G, we must strive to increase our efforts to save them. Remember, all that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good people to do nothing. NEW P & G CRUELTY EXPOSED!We recently uncovered further disturbing evidence of the suffering of innocent animals for the sake of P & G's 'Herbal Essences'. P & G has participated in an experiment where 128 rats were ‘sacrificed’ in yet another poisoning test for the commonly-used chemical ingredients butylparaben and methylparaben. To make matters even worse, they subjected the animals to an extreme and invasive method of blood sampling called ‘retro-orbital bleeding’ – the Boycott P & G posters have an image of this procedure. It involves puncturing the eye socket as a capillary tube is pushed behind the animal's eyeball. Not surprisingly, it often causes painful eye damage and serious complications - in the P & G test two animals suffered lesions and bleeding so severe they had to be killed, while other animals suffered various other harmful effects.Even some animal researchers acknowledge that retro-orbital bleeding is cruel and unnecessary. All the surviving animals were killed at the end of the test.ANIMALS NEED YOUR HELPThis evidence shows, once again, that P & G's excuses over their animal testing are just a smokescreen that facilitates the most sickening abuse. We need your help on 16th May to blow away that smokescreen and empower the public to save animals.Even distributing leaflets outside a supermarket for an hour is a major contribution to the animals' cause. Please, without your action, animals have no defence against P & G's violence. You can download an activist guide from here. We're giving away a campaign pack containing 6 posters, 300 leaflets, petitions, stickers and 'Boycott P & G' carrier bags to give to the public. Please contact us to find out about any actions already organised in your area* or to order a pack as soon as possible (by Wednesday 13th at latest if wanted for Saturday 16th). It's also possible to download artwork for campaign materials from our website. Please let us know what you are doing - and your contact details in case anyone local wants to join in.If you already have plans for Saturday 16th, why not do something a week or two after? Alternatively, you can put a Boycott P & G pledge up on our website to demonstrate the strength of public feeling against P & G's animal testing.P & G - the world's largest animal testing consumer goods company - will only rethink their animal testing practices if you throw your weight behind this campaign. This is a real opportunity for animals - let's grab it for them. With best wishesDr Dan Lyons, Director, Uncagedwww.uncaged.co.uk and www.hurtfulessences.org ................................................................................................. lovelife... colin sky
