vegan interactive collaboritive restaurant/cafe/store map

I want to create my own map of places to find food, in an online kind of map

interface. And it occurred to me that there may already be maps or collaboration

map projects already happenning. And if not, there may already be good online

free mapping services available that would incorporate that and may also allow

for the collaboritive construction mapped sites. It seems that Google maps is

not allowing enough customization to name points, add descriptions, and web

links to map points in thier " My Maps " feature. So looking for alternatives.

I think some of the more advanced GPS's show different types of restaurants such

as vegetarian (I don't think vegan); however, I am always trying to map out

restaurants in certain cities that we're traveling to. I think this is a very

good idea.

bay area vegetarian have maps for restauarants to look up in an area, city, region, etc

You may want to check out Happy Cow's website. When we take road trips (which is

often) I check out their site for options along the way.

 

The interactive map sounds like a great idea.
