Guest guest
Magic Johnson talks about sharing a buck of KFC fried chicken with Michael Jackson during his comments at the Michael Jackson memorial today (video link http://bit.ly/OPtAG ) This helps give better picture of the eating pattern of Michael Jackson. In MJ's autobiography he says he is a vegatarian and does not eat animal meat. The autobiography was released around 1988. The video Magic Johnson spoke of, " Remember The Times " was released, according to wiki article, in 1992. Magic Johnson's story does not fit with the writings in the autobiography. It occurred to me that the little KFC story may have been a very creative paid for kind of endorsement, given by a popular elite athlete, about another super celebrity rock star, before hundreds of millions of people whom are watching, and perhaps volnerable to suggestive comments. It almost like of like a commercial embedded into a " real life " event. Getting Magic Johnson to give that plug for KFC could be worth several millions of dollars in product and brand name awareness, and connecting the brand/product to these to idols. Thoughts? Guest guest
I honestly think we need to get over this MJ thing.. I didn't particularly like him as a person and I think people cared more about his music than his diet. I'm guessing on the road he was exposed to a lot of drugs and he obviously had a lot of work done, which is very hard on anyone's body. I'm pretty sure we've beat into the ground that the likelihood of MJ's death being caused by his vegetarian diet is very low so let's move on. Guest guest
I agree with Peter and Sarah - it's not that interesting, and there don't seem to be any specific facts. Guest guest
Sarah Tomecek wrote: " ...I'm pretty sure we've beat into the ground that the likelihood of MJ's death being caused by his vegetarian diet is very low " Thanks for the comment Sarah. Dr. Arnie Klein, MJ's dermatologist, talked to Larry King the other day (ref: http://bit.ly/11Bo4Y ), and went into more details about MJ medical conditions. He had diagnosed MJ with a form of Lupus, which is an autoimmune disease. He also had Vitiligo(http://bit.ly/N8FV2), another auto immune disease which also destroys the skin and leaves pigmentless patches of skin in it's wake. These diseases also caus hair to stop growing, rashes, and painful skin eruptions. In my research, human consumption of Cow milk or it's components, in addition to being linked with causing diabetes, cancer, infections of many types, aid resporatory disorders, also is linked with causing auto-immune diseases, such as lupus, skin rashes, etc of which MJ was plagued with since the late 1970's, early 1980's. These connections are huge. Dr. Veith, a professor from a University in South Africa goes into great detail on the scientific studies that make these connections in his 90 minute lecture " Udderly Amazing " . (ref: http://bit.ly/Bk7dv ) If MJ, like other " vegetarians " consumed cow milk, cow milk cheeses, cow milk butter, or other foods containing components of cow milk such as Casein, he may have been amplified the occurance, intensity, and harm caused by these poisons. And he, like many " vegetarians " include these cow milk products in their diet because of a well funding diary marketing machine that attempts to program people in thinking that cow milk is necesary for " strong bones " , strong muscles, and healthy bodies. And the pork, cattle ranchers, chicken farms industries say that we need the protein from the meat they are selling for similar reasons. Had MJ went completely diary free, although it may not have solved all of life's problems, he may have had greater capacity to handle them and may have not needed the treatments for the symtoms and diseases caused by the cow milk products. So far I have not seen anything specifically link " Vitiligo " with consumptin of dairy, but that does not mean they are not linked. The Vitiligo and dairy consumption link may be greater interest to researchers in light of the impact to humanity if they are able to scientifically draw that conclusion. Guest guest
I'm doing my utmost to have NO more thoughts on Michael Jackson. Although not ever a fan, I sincerely hope he can RIP (operative word being REST.) I think it is shameful that his family has made such a circus of his passing. Just my opinion--stated and put behind me! In this world Hate never yet dispelled hate Only love dispells hate. Guest guest
I didn't watch his funeral/memorial on the telly, but I know people who did. Some thought it was fantastic, others thought it was way over the top. I guess some people are interested and some not.
