Guest guest
What do you do with melon, other than slice it and eat it as it comes? Jo
Guest guest
I just heard about a snack made with melon. This is from a Weight Watchers meeting, so it's intended to be low in calories (k-joules.) If that's not a concern, use sugary soda. Cut melons into chunks and pour diet ginger ale over them. Put into the freezer and allow it to freeze partially. This sounds really good. I'm going to try it really soon. Cheers, Trish
Guest guest
I cut up melon and use it in a smoothie. Also, at a party I went to someone made melon and watermelon ice cream. I'm not sure how they did it but it was REALLY good. my dog is addicted to melon. no one can eat melon or watermelon around him without being attacked by him. anouk , bantrymoon <bantrymoon wrote: > > I just heard about a snack made with melon. Guest guest
Thanks Trish - that does sound rather tasty, especially good if we get some warm weather. Guest guest
Hi Anouk I always enjoy melon, hadn't thought of making a smoothie with it though, or ice cream. I'm jealous. Western Oregon used to have moderate summers, but climate change is pushing us into the high 80s to high 90s F (31-37 C) day after day. I melt in the heat, one reason we chose this neck of the woods. Cheers, Trish
Guest guest
Hi Trish We did have one week where the temperatures reached the mid 90s, but since then we have been around the mid 60s.
