My mother's doctor told her to limit her intake of fiber because she has digestive problems. I would like her to see a doctor who gives vegan friendly advise. Thanks for anyone's help. What sort of problems does your mother have? " I have a cousin who can't eat gluten (celiac disease), which is in wheat and a few other grains. So if the digestive problems are caused by gluten, for instance, she can eat the grains that don't have gluten, or eat other sources of fiber such as beans or vegetables. But limiting all fiber is nuts. So yeah, she needs a new dr. in any case. Is she limited to in-network? You might check for those in your area, or get opinions from those who practice alternative health care. They should be able to recommend suitable doctors. My dentist praised my teeth and gums on my last visit. I asked her if vegetarians generally had better checkups to which she said definitely yes.
