SANDPOINT, Idaho - The owner of a Sandpoint sports bar says fans of the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles and their new quarterback Michael Vick will have to go elsewhere to watch Eagles games. Steve Coffman, owner of Slates Prime Time Grill and Sports Bar, says the boycott also extends to Eagles' corporate sponsors Molson Coors, brewers of Coors beer products. The Eagles signed Vick to a two-year contract last week. Vick was convicted of leading a dogfighting ring and served 18 months in federal prison. Coffman told the Bonner County Daily Bee he's fed up with professional athletes and the things he believes they get away with. He says his bar will not show any Eagles games or serve Coors Light, the bar's most popular brew, as long as Vick is on the team. " Hobbes: Do you think there's a God? Calvin: Well, SOMEBODY'S out to get me. "

Guest guest
This is good to hear. Vick hasn't shown any true understanding of how horrible his actions were. All we got was " I made a mistake. " A " mistake " would be to cheat on his taxes or forget to clean his locker. This is a whole lot more than that. Torturing animals to death is what you'd expect from a serial killer. And if a serial killer said nothing more than " I made a mistake, " there would be an uproar. Good for that bar!
