Finally some color. Guest guest
The birds are all heading off on their journeys. It must be lovely to see the aurora. It's a pity autumn is a short season for you. It is fairly long here - although we did have our first frost last week. Jo - damselfly Friday, October 16, 2009 3:28 PM autumn >good morning,I really like autumn too. The air usually seems so clean and crisp, the changingcolors are so pretty. Lots of birds flocking up getting ready to head south. Themosquitoes are all gone. The darkness is coming back and we can start to see theaurora in the night skies. Here in Alaska, fall doesn't last long enough though! And I don't like what comesafter it! Guest guest
Yesterday I intended to do loads of housework! I thought that before that I would go out and take some photographs of the wonderful autumn colours. We went to a fairly local arboretum, and ended up spending three hours there, and I took almost 200 photos. Needless to say, I did only the basic housework afterwards. At least I have some lovely photographs of the beautiful colours. I have never seen so many berries before. This year is a bumper crop. The same with the chestnuts - thousands of them. We have a woodlot behind our house and I could sit on the back deck and watch the trees and listen to the birds for hours.
