Our neighbor dressed up in a gorilla costume, his oldest child (4 1/2) was Indiana Jones and his youngest (2 -ish) was a little monkey. Cutest little monkey ever! Anyhow, we didn't go anywhere but Gracie (one of our 2 dogs) dressed up as a princess. She was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz last year (that was a great costume - it made her look kind of human which was a little creepy, truth be told). I don't dress up - not outgoing enough - but I LOVE dressing Gracie up. Jeanie, our Greyhound, will not tolerate such shenanigans so I leave her alone and just put a special Halloween collar on her. I have pictures of the princess and Dorothy costumes which I'm happy to share with anyone that wants to see them. Simply let me know and I'll send 'em privately to avoid cluttering the list (and crashing the computers of those with slower internet access).Missie Harholdand Gracie the Ibizan Houndand Jeanie the Greyhoundgreyhounddog"Life is as dear to a mute creature as it is to a man. Hi

That sounds like fun. You could post the pictures on our Photos section. I

believe you forward them to the list owner and he will include them.

400 zombies! That sounds like fun too. Have you see Shaun of the Dead?

It must be really weird to have someone dress up as you.

One concert we went to a few years ago was very interesting. Most of the

audience came as vampires, and the cloakroom was literally a cloakroom.

That happened with the costume masquerade ball I ran in March this year. The theme was "Dark Fantasy" and there were so many amazing costumes, and pretty much every person had a cloak. We had a huge rail of them, all lovely velvet and satin and spiderweb lace :)

Ah, thanks Jo!! I'll do that with the doggy costume pics!! Lots

easier than sending it over and over to people that want to see. Not

that I mind <vbg>. I love my babies and will happily share pictures

and information and stories.

Which actually brings me to a question for all of you. Does anyone

have any suggestions for keeping squirrels out of the yard? We have a

woodlot behind us and a nice, open easement next to us and they are

getting kind of crazy lately. They normally run out of the yard when

I bang around and make noise to alert them that I'm letting the dogs

out. But lately, they'll run up the tree then come RIGHT back down

with the dogs out there. I've had some that have been up on the

privacy fence and been running back and forth trying to get away from

Gracie while she leaps and jumps and tries to grab them. I've had to

run out there countless times lately to grab her and drag her back

inside to give the squirrel a chance to run away. I may be vegan, but

Gracie and Jeanie are not and as sighthounds, their instinct is to

catch the little guys. They're good girls and they do listen but not

when it comes to critters. So, if anyone has suggestions, I'd love to

hear them. I don't want to have to have squirrel funerals if I can

avoid it.
