Guest guest
I found this recipe on the web. My mum used to make these (not vegan) and they were delicious, and of course they had to be steamed for an hour or two because microwaves were not around then. Maybe I'll give it a go sometime. If you like only healthy recipes don't read this. This is very sugary and fatty. It can be made in a few minutes and serves 4 people. 6 oz. (150g) white self-raising flour 3 oz. (75g) vegetable suet 3 tbsps jam 2 oz. (50g) sugar ½ pint (250 ml) soya milk Grease a pudding basin (1.5 pint or 1 litre) with margarine and spoon jam into the bottom. In a bowl, mix together the flour, suet, sugar and a pinch of salt. Gradually stir in the milk and pour the mix into the bowl. Cover the bowl with a plate and microwave for 4 to 5 minutes on full power. Turn out onto a plate. Whilst it is cooking, make some custard from soya milk. Serves
