Meat past Expiration... trend..?

I been getting reports of groceries stores having record numbers of packaged

meat remaining unsold past " use by " expiration date.

Some interesting explanations... of course, it is because of the economic

slowdown?... or perhaps... is it that more people are choosing a vegetarian

lifestyle? Or maybe some of both?

Perhaps we will see further news on this... It is kind of like the milk slow

down bankrupting the dairy farmers that we were seeing news reports of in early

2009 and late 2008.

If you have news or links to info on this subject, send to me.

Thanks,

Michael

I have noticed that when was at the supermarket. Often I look in reduced sections at the end of the day for reduced hummus etc but lately there's tonnes of corpse(what i always call meat esp round meat eaters). Hopefully

Hopefully this is a continuing trend and they will soon start producing less in the first place.
