I have notcied this year, more than most, ladies wearing (real) fur coats. I find this sad. I have seen five fur coats on one day, and three on another. Guest guest Posted December 29, 2009 Report Share Posted December 29, 2009 Fashion its weird, i read every year more or less somewhere, that "fur is back" yet, i rarely see any uptick in people wearing it. at least that i notice. maybe if i hung out in Union Square in SF...... on the other hand, are you sure its dead animal fur? i've heard the new faux furs are really realistic.... Guest guest Posted December 29, 2009 Report Share Posted December 29, 2009 It does seem by many to be more ok again My mother has started wearing her minks out again after not doing so for a long time. I have been getting dirty looks wearing my totally vegan coat with stripes on it which does seem weird as it looks VERY fake. Maybe someone should start making badges saying " fabulous fake " or something so people can show that its animal free they are wearing and the badge money could go to anti fur causes. Guest guest Posted December 30, 2009 Report Share Posted December 30, 2009 I've also seen more people wearing fur- that looks as if it's actual fur....I think the badge idea is a fantastic one, as many people might not be aware how good the synthetic types are these days, so it would be a really good way to show them! Only saw this article below in the paper the other day. Ive seen some REAL looking dead animal fur on some coats before, but on the little tag in the coat it said " faux " . Im always questioning the fur trim on a coat, incase its real.
