Guest guest
We were lucky and able to breastfeed our babies but now one of those is having their own infant soon and breastfeeding is not going to be an option. I can remember being able to buy 'follow-on' soya-based milk (as a powder) for 6 months onwards over 30 years ago but what about these days? A quick search on the web and in Boots (UK pharmacy chain) and I can only find cows milk with fish oil added - so not even veggie let alone vegan for new born babies! Has any member come across a brand of baby milk for new born available in the UK? Geoff

Since cow's milk is such a common allergen, I'd be surprised if alternatives were not available. Perhaps you can phone an allergist and find out where they get supplies. Guest guest
http://www.vegetarian.org.uk/factsheets/soyainfant.html i am sure all alternatives have been looked at but what about expressed breastmilk even if the mother can't/won't BF. Its such a pity there are so few BM banks in the UK , yarrow wrote: > > At 4:38 PM +0000 12/29/09, Geoff wrote: > >We were lucky and able to breastfeed our babies but now one of those > >is having their own infant soon and breastfeeding is not going to be > >an option.
