It does sound like she was veggie through being brought up as such rather than doing for reasons of conscience. I cant imagine many who arrive there for ethical reasons giving up without at least a fight. One veggie i knew who reverted hd only been veggie in the first place after getting ill from bad meat a few times

sounds like someone who was never very commited or cares really...imo

 

haven't read the book, so only a first impression. i heard of her last year.
