Mikki, We have family in Texas, and I first started being a vegetarian going

there, which at the time was very hard since everything seemed to be barbecue.

But we discovered Jason's Deli which has vegetarian/vegan entrees as well as

organic. Also, they will change things around for you to make it

vegetarian/vegan as well.

We have been to the Whole Foods in Austin which is the mother store. They have

a raw eating station, so vegan/vegetarian isn't hard there at all.

I don't know which states you are going through. In Jackson, MS, there is a

place called High Noon which is great. We just ate a lot at The Seed Restaurant

in Venice Beach, CA. I would highly recommend both of those.

wanting to go to the beach. I wanted to see if you guys could help out with any

suggestions of vegan/veg friendly places/cities we could visit. We are wanting

to drive and live in Texas. We have driven as far as Destin, Florida before.

We have been vegan/veg for 7 months now and have not taken a vacation since

changing our lifestyles. I appreciate any and all tips that you guys throw my

way!

You can eat anywhere you just need to know how to order and not be embarassed

about asking questions and ordering off the side menu. I still am sad when they

can't bring my sides out on one plate, I always ask for them to put it on a

plate. In Texas there are alot of Mex Restaurants and you can get good Veg. food

there.

We are going to Belize for our vaction this year and I am already on their

forums checking out their veg. choices. :)

My favorite place is Serendipity bed and breakfast in Ocean City, NJ.

Dinner was only serve during certain months. The food was fabulous! We

love the boardwalk and the beach. We lived in TX for many years and would

go there. We have not been able to go in a few years but there use to be a

wonderful place on the boardwalk that roasted their own peanuts (you could

sneak them into the movie theater and as long as you did not make a mess

with the shells it was fine. Things may have changed now, but you might

want to check them out. I really miss it now.

I'd say the Hippocrates Health Oasis in West Palm Beach, FL:http://www.hippocratesinst.org/MatthewUnitarian-Universalists are often asked where they stand. The only true answer to give to this question is that we do not stand at all, we move.
