Guest guest
Hi All, Curious; Has anyone read THE CHINA STUDY by T. Collin Campbell. It is an awesome book. I would like to hear from others who have read it. I strongly recommend it to anyone who wants the facts on why a human is in truth a very strict Vegan. If you take away tools and fire, what will you eat? that is the Nature of all creatures diet, I.E. only eat what your body can render and digest, which would make a human carnivore very unsuccessful ...Jeff
Guest guest
Jeff, I'm with you all the way. Read it twice. It is one of the few dog-eared, well-worn books on my shelf. MatthewUnitarian-Universalists are often asked where they stand. The only true answer to give to this question is that we do not stand at all, we move. http://www.peopleschurch.net/The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have too much, It is whether we provide enough for those who have too little. -President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 2nd Inaugural AddressMatthew Morris McCormickGrace House721 Whitcomb St. Apt BKalamazoo, MI 49008Phone: 269.OXford 2.3692email: mattmcco On Fri, Apr 9, 2010 at 6:36 PM, FFEJ <wallacejj wrote: Hi All, Curious; Has anyone read THE CHINA STUDY by T. Guest guest
another fact: only humans, and the animals they feed have cancer!.....have you heard of whack upside the head (with an organic cotton sock)when you think of things chemically, cooked food is a factor as well. cooking increases the the carbon level; carbon is a free radical? If I remember right, any who only creatures that cook food get cancer. (this is a very hard truth)thanks for the feedback, I bet we have much more to chat about....Jeff "yarrow" <yarrow Sent: Sun, April 11, 2010 2:21:45 AMRe: The China Study At 10:36 PM +0000 4/9/10, FFEJ wrote: >Hi All, > Curious; Has anyone read THE CHINA STUDY by T. I've also heard Dr. Campbell speak about the China Study and the book a couple times. The one thing that still astounds me is his assertion, based on his research, that milk protein is the most carcinogenic substance known. I've discovered that if I mention this informally to nonvegs, they immediately discredit everything else he has to say (and stop listening to me, too). So it seems to me it's the most "threatening" (to world views of nonvegs) thing he has to say, at the same time as it points to potentially the most useful piece of information for people who are concerned about their health. And for a bit of fun, if you want to see westonaprice fdn. followers really foam at the mouth (figuratively, at least), just mention that animal protein (esp. dairy) makes cancer cells grow, and soy protein makes them shrink.
