Guest guest
GARLIC: There are entire books written about the curative abilities of garlic. Research suggests that it reduces blood pressure, helps with the problem of blood clotting, lowers the LDL which increases bad cholesterol, boosts the immune system and encourages recovering heart attack victims. Garlic's famous smell comes from allicin, which inhibits bacterial growth and fungus. It also helps with an overgrowth of yeast in the body and is used in treating Candida. Garlic increases the flow of digestive enzymes and encourages detoxification through the skin. Despite the odour which comes through the skin, garlic is good for you. Throwing a clove of garlic in your vegetable juice every day will be excellent for your health. Before juicing, drop the garlic into vinegar for 1 minute to destroy any bacteria or mould on the surface. To avoid irritating the lining of the intestinal tract, use only 1 clove of fresh garlic in 2 glasses of juice.

Guest guest
I love garlic and one week I went through an astounding 5 whole bulbs! That is not the norm, though. I usually use 1 or 2 bulbs. I put it in everything that it would taste good in and yesterday, I used it in 3 different dishes. I've never thought about mold or bacteria being on it and at least 50% of what I eat is raw; should i be concerned about that?Patricia--- On Tue, 4/20/10, heartwerk <jo.heartwork wrote:heartwerk <jo.heartwork GARLIC Date: Tuesday, April 20, 2010, 11:36 PMGARLIC: There are entire books written about the curative abilities of garlic. Guest guest
I’ve never known anyone be ill from eating raw garlic – occasionally it will go mouldy but it is easy enough to see so that you can throw it away.
