Guest guest
I wonder what would happen if you called the restaurant and explained that you needed to come to the family outing, but due to ethical/religious beliefs and a lack of veg-friendly foods, you would have to bring your own food and you DID NOT want to be hassled over it, as you had NO CHOICE in the decision to go there but you're sure Outback would want to be family friendly and help with this, yadda yadda? Guest guest
Cyn,I like that idea!!! And maybe make the same kind of arrangements with the hosts, to avoid any snide, rude comments and remarks.MatthewUnitarian-Universalists are often asked where they stand. The only true answer to give to this question is that we do not stand at all, we move. http://www.peopleschurch.net/The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have too much, It is whether we provide enough for those who have too little. -President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, 2nd Inaugural AddressMatthew Morris McCormickGrace House721 Whitcomb St. Apt BKalamazoo, MI 49008Phone: 269.OXford 2.3692email: mattmcco On Sun, Apr 25, 2010 at 1:46 PM, cyn <cyn84074 wrote: I wonder what would happen if you called the restaurant and explained that you needed to come to the family outing, but due to ethical/religious beliefs and a lack of veg-friendly foods, you would have to bring your own food and you DID NOT want to be hassled over it, as you had NO CHOICE in the decision to go there but you're sure Outback would want to be family friendly and help with this, yadda yadda? Guest guest
Have you tried contacting the restaurant to find out if they would do you a vegan meal - I've had quite a lot of success with that tactic, even in places that have nothing vegetarian on the menu - if the chef prides himself on being a professional, he'll normally rustle up something pretty tasty.
