Guest guest
Hi Sue! The closest thing I have is an icing I put on brown sugar cookies that is delicious. I think you could adapt it, changing the butter to shortening, or just keep it butter. You'd have to quadruple the recipe at least, to get enough to ice a cake. But you should try this out first as it is, and see if this is what you remember. Then you will only have used up a little of your ingredients. 2 Tablespoons of butter 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 tablespoons of heavy cream 3/4 cup of powdered sugar 1. Melt butter 2. Stir in brown sugar and cream. 3. Add in powdered sugar, blend to make a good consistency - you may need more - but it hardens quickly, so use it fast. Annie L.
