Aside from their protein needs, cats require taurine and without this they

will go blind. Trying to feed a cat a vegetarian diet is animal cruelty. If

you don't want to feed your pet meat then don't keep a cat - how about a

rabbit or a hamster? There are plenty of herbivores out there looking for a

good home J

I question that. But of course, I'm not an expert. But I still question the

need for cats to eat meat. Certain dietitians are convinced about humans'

need for meat albeit in small portions. I haven't investigated the topic,

but I wonder if studies have been done on feeding cats a non-meat diet.

I feel the teeth tell the story. Animal teeth, including cats, is usually

pointed all the way to the back, good for tearing and human teeth are smooth

in the back, good for plant life.
