Guest guest
You won'rt find a vegan product that isexactly the same as real cheese. Vegan Gourmet is close and it doesn't melt. The less cheese you eat the less you will miss it. If you make a ypstada and put some salsa and guacamole on top you really won't miss the cheese. When I make enchioladas I cover the sauce with chopped olives and freen onions and serve them with guacamole and I never miss the cheese. I really can't find anything to replace real butter. I don't eat eggs or dairy unless I eat a small bite of my baked goods, but I have to have my real butter. Donna Through violence, you may 'solve' one problem, but you sow the seeds for another. Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 6:23 PM I tried a vegan cheddar cheese today and I am VERY sorry to say I had to spit it out. It was the most disgusting taste I've experienced in a long time. It was expensive and I hate to waste food or money. This is very deppressing to me also because I am so desperate to find something cheese like. I miss cheese so much. I miss cheesy things. I used to love some melted cheese in a corn tortilla with some salsa as a nice quickie lunch. Does anyone know of any " cheese " product that actually tastes good, or is this something I have to say sayonara to. Jeannie

Guest guest
Sometimes it has a bad, funny taste. It depends on what type of vegan cheese. Cynthia
