Guest guest
I thought long and hard about this and decided I would mention it to all of you. You have all made the group what it is today, Fantastic!. I have made so many wonderful friends and cooked so many of your recipes as I share mine too. This morning at 5:30am my Mother passed away. It has torn a hole in my heart but at the same time lifted a heavy weight off my shoulders m, she is finally at peace and there is no more pain. She had a long hard fight for 3-1/2 years. I have been with her daily to see her through this. I have many things I have to take care of right now but I will be back in the group ASAP and I can catch posts from my blackberry too. Much love, dig out those pots and pans and cook something good, Mama Rose would love that. Donna
Guest guest
Dear Donna...... You have my most sincere condolences on the loss of one of the most important people who will ever be in your life. I lost my own sweet, wonderful mother over 25 years ago when she was only 58. Although it has gotten easier to deal with over the years, I still miss her and think of her every single day. Take care...... Nancy C. Guest guest
Donna - Losing a Mother is very, very tough. I lost mine when I was 15 years old. I can't imagine having her into adulthood and then losing her. Sympathies to you and family...I wish for you many wonderful memories. Guest guest
Precious Donna, I know it hurts. Although it has been 13 years since loosing my father, I still hear something on television or read it online and want to discuss it with him. My hand reaches for the phone and then before I get the first number dialed I remember. You'll get told that the pain lessens in time. Maybe it does. I know how many vegetarian meals you've had to make and take to her so she could remain the long time vegetarian she was. I also know that you're going to automatically pull out the storage containers and start her lunch or dinner and I know you're going to cry when you put it away because she won't be there to eat what you bring. I never got to tell you how I laughed when I imagined your mother's reaction to the hospital giving you Jello when you were a child in the hospital. I suspect somewhere deep inside her, she remembered that and appreciated what you did - especially all the times they tried giving her the same Jello. (Probably the same pan of Jello at that.) You aren't alone. Love and hugs, Jeanne http://jeannefromgeorgia.blogspot.com/

Guest guest
Donna, I have lost my mom and my dad. There are no words to make it all right, except perhaps God knows best. The pain never goes away but is lessened when you fill your heart with all the memories of the time you had. My thoughts are with you at this time. Guest guest
Hi, I know your pain all too well. I lost my mother some years ago to emphysema which see got through smoking. She was a rock to me, but you know, she still is in a way because shehas left me in body but she is still with me in my memories. I'm sure your mother will always be there for you in the same way for you. They are always missed, but not in our hearts.
Guest guest
Donna, I'm so sorry for your loss. I have a recipe that you posted awhile back that was Mama Rose's and I have not made it. I'm going home tonight and making it in her memory. In time you will find comfort in the memories you shared with her and your time together. You took such great care of her and she loved you deeply for it.
