Guest guest
Hi! I've been a vegetarian for about 8 years or so, and am just now turning toward veganism. I do not want to be flamed for asking this question, but I am ignorant about it and just want to understand it. Why are vegans against using wool? I am a knitter and use wool most of the time. I also use cotton a lot, but not synthetic fibers very much. I am just trying to understand, please. Thank you, Annie
Guest guest
I knit scarves. I am not necessarily vegan, but do lean that way. Though it's tough, in my house. My wool is a gift from the animals who provided it to me. As in my shoes...I have to wear the shoes and innersoles, and they are, again, a gift, provided to me. They are leather Danskos. My yarn is mostly wool or other natural fibers, and is a part of my creative desire, and I consider it a gift. NO flaming, just a different way to look at the Universe.--Rhonda
