Guest guest
When you are exploring the Colorado Springs area don't forget to take the cog railway to the top of Pike's Peak if you can handle the 14,000 plus altitude. The cog railway leaves from Manitou Springs and the ride is spectacular. You can also drive the road if you're brave enough. LOL Another great experience is the community of Crestone. A small restaurant there with organic Vegetarian meals is wonderful. In the shadow of the Rocky Mountains. Just too beautiful. I've stayed at a bed and breakfast there that serves delicious Vegetarian meals. You might also want to visit the Great Sand Dunes and Mesa Verde which is an ancient Anasasi Ruins. Just amazing. Also check out the town of San Luis and the hillside Stations of the Cross. Born and raised in this part of the country.
