Guest guest
Ok, all of this talk about the Veganomicon cook book has peaked my interest, so I went and looked it up at Amazon and fould loads of pics of people's creations using this book. I am going to buy it, but also thought about buying to for the free shipping. That leads me to ask, what other vegetarian cook books are so wonderful? I'm not Vegan, but don't oppose any wonderful cookbook!! Please send in your recommendations so I can eat more!! Thanks-a-bunch! Guest guest
Start at your local library, before you buy (or instead of buying). I like: * saving dinner the vegetarian way by leanne ely (a fly lady) * fresh from the vegetarian slow cooker by robin robertson * vegan with a vengence by isa chandra moskovitz * anything by drena burton or nava atlas ________________________________ Dena Deen <tigriss007 Sun, January 31, 2010 11:24:34 AM [veg_grp] Vegetarian Cookbook Recommendations  Ok, all of this talk about the Veganomicon cook book has peaked my interest, so I went and looked it up at Amazon and fould loads of pics of people's creations using this book. Guest guest
Thanks. I have tried the local library and wasn't to thrilled with their very small selection. This is a meat and potato part of the state, so in a small rural library you don't find too much of a selection. I did check out the Vegan with a Vegance and that one lookds great too. Guest guest
Dena, Check with your local thrift store. That is where I get all my Vegetarian cook books. If you have an ARC they are the best. I have some treasures that I've paid only $2. I've seen Vegan books too. So beautifully illustrated, and with amazing recipes. However, two of my favorite cookbooks are Mexican and Chinese and neither are Vegetarian. I can adjust any recipe to fit my lifestyle. Deanna in Colorado see you in recycled_gardens ***************************************************** ((( Dena Deen <tigriss007 wrote: > Thanks. I have tried the local library and wasn't to thrilled with their very small selection.))))) Guest guest
Also see if the library is affiliated with others in the area and will do interbranch loans. This way you will have access to far more choices and usually the wait is only a few days from request to when your branch has the book in.
