Guest guest
I do have a recipe.....but thinking about modifying it next time with the oats...they come out really tasty but not very firm. Anywho, here is the recipe. 1 green bell pepper, chopped 1 carrot, chopped 1 onion, chopped 1/2 c zucchini chopped 2 tbsp garlic 1tbsp onion powder 2 cans black beans 1 garlic clove 1 tsp parsley 1 egg 1 pkg whole wheat crackers 4 slices bread, dried...I toast it to dry it out Place all veggies in food processor and chop till finely minced. Remove and place in a bowl. Place beans in processor along with egg. Mash completely. Add bean mixture to bowl with veggies, mix well. Add crushed crackers, seasonings and crumbled bread, mix well. Form into patties. You can either cook on the stove in canola oil 2 min on each side or in the oven at 350 on a cookie sheet lined with foil lightly oiled for about 10 min. We use whole wheat buns and garnish with avocado, pickles, onions, tomatoes, and lettuce. Any suggestions you have to improve on this recipe....PLEASE feel free to add. The flavor of them is amazing! The only thing that I am struggling with is that they really need to be a little more firm I think....Other than that, I think they are awesome...and so do the kids and dh!
