I love the Foreman grill. I use my rice cooker, pressure cooker, mini food

processor and hand mixer all the time. I can't imagine being without any of

them.

I use my cast iron skillet and grill pan, hand mixer, rice cooker, pressure

cooker, and hopefully my new immersion blender/chopper.  I picked up the today's

special on HSN of the Wolfgangpuck immersion blender.  I have heard of them

canceling orders because of a faulty part, but mine chopped frozen almonds into

a a fine powder, so no problem there.  I shall be putting it through more tests

soon!

Use a lot of appliances, George Forman grill for my veggie burgers, just got

a health master and am sure it will be a favorite, will be able to get all

my veggies and fruit in at one time quickly, just not many recipes for it,

use a food processor a lot, microwave for hot drinks, crock pot and think I

m needing a new one, have a blender that has a little food processor you can

attach and use and I use that more than the blender for onions, nuts and

stuff.lol Like to make low carb and whole grain breads in my bread machine.

Various small things not sure if they are appliances, like an apple peeler

corer which I love. Oh yea almost forgot my steamer, the only way to cook

fresh veggies , some of them are sweet when cooked that way, if I cook them

at all.lol Love my carrots-peas-broccoli-cauliflower etc raw.

Always did love my veggies before I even considered vegatarian.lol

Forgot to add my steam juicer, but I plan to trade it in for a stainless

steel one. Cannot wait for canning season!

Mine would be;

Vita Mix - can't imagine being without my perfectly velvety smoothie and soups,

wonderful nut butters, hummus and much more.

Panini Maker - oh the varieties of panini sandwiches are endless and delicous.

Love that you don't have to use any butter to toast the outside of grilled

cheese sandwiches or other sandwiches with this either.

Electric Can Opener - It is just so quick and easy to use. Then just a quick

wipe off and rinse of the blade and it's clean

Electric Hand Mixer - What would I do without this for my cookie dough, cheese

cakes batter, cake batter, flavored butter with fresh and dried herbs, spreads.

Food Processor - Makes the best pesto, bread crumbs, spreads, hummus, etc.

Wide Slot Toaster - Not only is this 4 slot toaster great for making enough

toast/bagels for the family all at one time, but I drop leftover pre-made

panini's and grilled cheese sandwiches in here there to reheat. It crisps them

up nicely and nothing melts out of the panini. The toaster adjust for the side

of the item you put in the toaster.

Perfect to reheat leftover pancakes and waffles.

Microwave Oven - Perfect for heating up water in a cup for tea for which we make

daily. Love having it for heat up a quick plate of leftovers. Also love the

defrost feature - just perfect for thawing frozen bread, fruit etc.

What are you favorites and what do you find them invaluable for?

Right now mine would be a coffee grinder with which I grind my flax seeds for

oatmeal in the morning. Used to love my food processor and still like it but

find I'm chopping with my knives now that I got them sharpened :>) I'm still

considering a Vitamix but am confused by all the different models and wonder if

a lady in the winter of life really should buy anything!

Treat yourselves, ladies! If you can enjoy it, it's worth it for you to buy

it, no matter how old you are! That's what I keep telling my 88-year-old

grandma. Grandma just bought herself a new coffee table and end table this

year. I'm proud of her! :)

And DO NOT put your good items and gifts away for later use, most of the time

later never arrives. They are all material items and meant for your pleasure

NOW. Dig them out and use them and enjoy life.

Donna who puts vegan dip in Gran's well over a 100 year old cut glass antique

bowl. Why not? Better than it going to a garage sale for a dollar when I'm

gone. No one gets my love beads though!

Mine are:

Kitchenaid mixer: fantastic for heavier gluten free bread dough.

good instant thermometer: it almost always guarantees a perfect loaf of bread :

). when we first went gluten free our birds and squirrels got quite chubby from

all the loaves of bread that flopped : ).

grain grinder: we grind all our grains. rather than pay $4+/lb for gluten free

flours, we grind our own for under $1/lb. very helpful when you are making ALL

your baked goods from scratch : ).

food processor: hummus---need I say more : ). well.. also for breadcrumbs,

nutcrumbs for piecrusts, shortbread, etc

electric knife/bread board: gets consistent, even slices bread--important for an

11-year-old that wants to have food that looks like her friends but needs to be

safe : ).

pressure canner: we grow 80% of our fruits/veggies and have to can a lot : ). we

can veggies, fruits, low sugar jams, salsas, relishes, ketchup, hot sauces, etc

Excaliber dehydrator: we dry fruit, veggies, and herbs. we also proof yogurt,

etc. we love it during the summer when the garden is overflowing : ).

gadgets: good knife, cookie scoops, biscuit cutters(biscuits and crackers),

kitchen scale
